PhD American University Admissions Studentships in Food4me


The American University Admissions project runs from April 2011 to March 2015 and will examine all aspects of personalised nutrition including consumer understanding, business models and IT solutions for self assessment. The consortium will also conduct a large multicentre human intervention study examining the efficacy of personalised nutrition. This American University Admissions will involve recruiting subjects into a study where they will receive one of four levels of personalised nutrition advice (A control group will receive non-personalised nutrition advice; Group 2 will receive personalised dietary analysis; Group three will also receive personalised dietary advice based on phenotyping; Group 4 will receive the same as groups 2 and 3 plus personalised advice based on genotype) The 3 PhD studentships will work within the Food4me project on the large multicentre study as well as contributing to several other aspects of research, including the following: Studies of ‘nutri-typing’, which will use cluster analysis to outline statistical groupings of populations using variables such as food intake, nutrient intake, metabolomic profile and biochemical status. Examination of the coding of data collected from food consumption surveys, that would facilitate food intake and meal pattern analysis. Examination and development of online dietary assessment tools, using the above principles of cluster analysis and meal pattern coding
Eligibility: The American University Admissions applicants will be graduates in Human Nutrition / Nutrition and will have a minimum of a 2.1 honours degree. Applicants should have a keen interest in the area of nutrigenetics / nutrigenomics.

Master’s Scholarship American University Admissions of European and International Law


The American University Admissions curriculum is composed of compulsory and elective modules, each comprising several units. Compulsory modules cover the following topics: Legal English and Writing, International Public Law, Rule of Law and Human Rights, Law and Politics of the EU, EU Law (Advanced), European Private Law, Law of Regulation and WTO Law. Elective modules include: Procedures and Dispute Resolution, Public Administration, International Trade, Company Law, Comparative Criminal Procedure, Natural Resources and Climate Change. A minimum of ten students are required for electives to be offered.

CESL American University Admissions offers two courses on Chinese Law Taught in English (CLTE), Introduction to China’s Legal System and China’s Business Law, respectively, to international students in 2010 to 2011 academic year. Currently, a series of CLTE courses are under development including Company Law (with a focus on foreign investment in China ), Employment and Social Security Law, the Role of the Legal Profession and Legal Procedures and Criminal Justice. In 2011 to 2012 academic year, CESL will continue to offer courses of Introduction to China’s Legal System and China’s Business Law, but the newly developed course of CLTE will be offered on the condition that the international students of 2011 intake will be more than twelve. CLTE courses will expose international students to the historical background, transitional nature and probably future changes to Chinese law, providing students with a comparative approach to legal studies. CLTE credits will also count towards the Master of European and International Law.

American University Admissions International students may also transfer to the Master of Chinese Law leading to an LL. M. conferred by CUPL if enough Chinese law credits are obtained.
